Introduction

Greetings!  Thanks for stopping by.  I'm Susan Wallmeyer, a lisenced acupuncturist and herbalist in New York City.  Although I enjoy treating many conditions, I have a special interest in improving womens' health through Chinese Medicine.
I have titled this blog "Yintang", which is an acupuncture point located between the eyebrows.  Acupuncturists probably aren't supposed to have "favorite" points, but this is definitely mine!  Needling this point produces a sense of focused, mindful relaxation, encouraging inward refllection.  To me, this is such a wonderful state of being because we feel more comfortable with change, growth, and learning what is best for our individual bodies and minds.
In this blog, I intend to share information on a variety of topics, from seasonal wellness tips and recipies to summaries of the latest clinical research on acupuncture.  I'll also try to "connect the dots" between eastern and western medicine, as I have a background in western sciences and am always interested in both sides of the coin. It is my hope that you find the information interesting, informative, and overall you feel able to integrate some of my tips into your everyday life. Please feel free to email me with any topics related to Chinese Medicine or your health in general that you'd like to learn more about!  Thanks, and happy reading!
